Largest Solar Panel on water in Singapore

Special Correspondent, The Asian Day :

The inauguration of the world's largest floating solar power plant in Singapore. The power plant has been built in an area equal to 45 football fields. The country is citing this floating solar power project as an important source of environmentally friendly electricity. Which was officially inaugurated on 14th July, Wednesday 2021.

The Solar panel is able to generate 60 megawatt-peak (MWp) at a time. This is more reliable and better than a rooftop project which is 15 percent. Because it's floating over the water and becomes cold naturally. It speared over 45 acres of water land with 12200 pieces of panels.

This largest project was managed and build by Sembcorp Industries, which able to generate 7megawatt electricity & can run 5 water irrigation motors easily. The whole system is able to serve for long 25 years. Here is also 4 same project is under construction in various places.

A digital monitoring system has also been set up to monitor the health of the solar farm.

And as dirt on the panels can reduce operational efficiency, they are tilted at a slight angle to allow rainwater to wash it off.

This project will give their solar and renewable energy industry a boost, and pave the way for more such facilities to be built here and in the region. This will take us one big step forward towards environmental sustainability, as we transition into a low-carbon world.
